LKG Montessori Program
The LKG program at Arunachalam Preschool builds upon the foundation laid in Pre-KG, introducing more structured learning experiences while maintaining the child-centered Montessori approach. Children aged 4 to 5 years develop greater independence, concentration, and social skills.
In this stage, children are ready for more advanced Montessori materials that introduce language, mathematics, and cultural studies. Our trained teachers guide each child individually, ensuring they progress at their own pace while developing a strong academic foundation.

Practical Life (Advanced)
More complex activities including food preparation, plant care, and grace & courtesy lessons. Develops concentration, coordination, and responsibility.
Sensorial (Advanced)
Refined sensory discrimination through complex materials like binomial cube, trinomial cube, and geometric solids. Prepares for mathematics.
Language - Reading & Writing
Phonetic reading, sight words, cursive writing preparation, and sentence construction. Children begin to read and write simple words independently.
Mathematics (Advanced)
Introduction to decimal system, addition, subtraction, and place value using Montessori materials like golden beads and stamp game.
Cultural Studies
Geography, history, biology, and world cultures. Children learn about continents, animals, plants, and different cultures around the world.
